'All-Breed Champion' at the Suffolk Show - 2nd June 2011 03-06-2011
The Suffolk Show held annually at Ipswich is one of the largest Agricultural Shows in the country. The donkey show is held on the second day and this year on June 2nd was well attended as usual, with a wide variety of donkeys presented. We are delighted that our Miniature jack, 'Country Music's Carl Perkins' won his class for 'Best Stallion or Gelding'. He then went on to beat all the other donkeys entered to become over-all Champion, winning both the 'Honkey Tonk Perpetual Challenge Trophy' and the 'Suffolk Show Summer Sheet'. 'Carl' is very small at only 29" high so the sheet dwarfs him rather(!), and in England it is still rare for Miniatures to beat the excellent Standards in general classes, so we are very pleased indeed.
