The Donkey Sanctuary makes Tripadvisor’s top 10%

The Tripadvisor awards recognise travellers’ favourite businesses around the world, based on reviews and ratings collected over 12 months, and our Sidmouth sanctuary is in their top 10 per cent worldwide. 

The award is based on genuine feedback from people who have visited our sanctuary and left an authentic, first-hand review on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period. 

Our Sidmouth sanctuary has won Tripadvisor awards before, but this is the first time in their top 10 per cent. 

Laura Drummond, our Sidmouth sanctuary Visitor Marketing Officer, said: “We are thrilled to be recognised in Tripadvisor’s worldwide top ten percent and are so grateful to our wonderful visitors who took the time to leave a review – it means a lot to us all and is testament to the hard work of all our teams.”  

Our sanctuary in Sidmouth attracts more than 400,000 visitors a year, making it a major regional destination, as well as a benefit to many other local businesses too. 

The latest award will be proudly displayed alongside a whole host of others, including those from VisitEngland and Devon Tourism.

Our sanctuary is open seven days a week, from 9am until 5pm. Entry and parking are free, and dogs on leads are welcome.
