New Black Mammoths 05-02-2011
Following the very sad death of Dr Tex Taylor at the end of 2010, we are honoured to have been offered some of his donkeys by Annie Ruth and Ethel. 3 Mammoth yealings (all blacks) are currently in isolation prior to export from Texas. We expect them home early in March, via Houston and Prestwick. Tex had spent a lifetime building up the leading herd of black and more recently spotted, Mammoth Jackstock in the USA - where this donkey is still classed as endangered. The animals are the very best available in the breed, and all have multiple generation pedigrees going back to the first founding stock. The Jackstock donkeys at Hamerton are some of the best of the very few outside the USA, and are an important mixture of the Bramoth and Jarratt lines.
