Planning Permission granted for Wind Turbine 27-08-2010
We are delighted to hear that Huntingdonshire District Council has approved our planning application for a wind turbine to be erected in the top field. So - the donkeys will have something different to share their paddocks with from next year! The turbine is made by a Danish manufacturer (details at www.Gaia-Wind.com), measures 18m tall and shares its technology with the large machines found on wind-farms. A single twin-ended blade spins at a regulated speed and each unit is rated at 11kw. This turbine should produce more electricty than we need, and any surplus will be exported to the National Grid.
